Homemade Aluminum-Free Baking Powder

It was so fun when I discovered what baking powder is made of. However, I knew I needed to find a way to avoid the aluminum and GMO (corn starch) which is found in traditional baking powder.

Turn cooking mode on

Mix 1 part aluminum free baking soda (Bob’s Red Mill), 1 part arrowroot powder, and two parts cream of tartar.

Tip: If you are planning on using right away, you don’t need the arrowroot powder. It is included to help it store in your cupboard for longer. You can simply omit it if you plan to go through it regularly.
